Local Woman Arrested For Animal Cruelty After Assaulting Dog With Frying Pan

Sheriff Mitch Ralston Reports:

On Saturday, March 11, the Sheriff’s Office received a report of a woman allegedly striking a pet dog with a frying pan. Detectives initiated an investigation, interviewing witnesses and gathering physical evidence, which included a video recording. Alyssa Renae Duvall, age 19, of 224 Highland Drive, was subsequently arrested on March 14 and charged with (misdemeanor) Animal Cruelty. She was later released on $1000.00 bond. The investigative file will be forwarded to the District Attorney’s Office for prosecution.
