Domestic Dispute Results in Aggravated Assault Charge After Wheelchair Bound Man Reports Being Beaten With Food Can

Sheriff Mitch Ralston Reports;

At about 2:45 a.m. Friday morning, December 3rd, deputy sheriffs were dispatched to a private residence in the Spring Valley neighborhood near Calhoun in response to a report of a domestic disturbance involving a serious injury. The responding deputies met with the victim, who’d suffered a large laceration to the back of his head. The victim reported that he and his wife were watching television when she became upset over his choice of programming. The victim said that after drinking a quantity of beer, his wife hit him a number of times, overturned him from his wheel chair, and beat him about the back of his head with a (full) can of food. The wife, identified as one Carlita Sussane Lamb, fled the scene before the arrival of deputies and is still at large. The victim was transported by ambulance to Gordon Hospital. A warrant has been issued charging Mrs. Lamb with Aggravated Assault (Family Violence Act).

Sheriff Ralston remarked about the viciousness of an attack against a wheel chair bound individual, saying that such an offence merits serious punishment.

The Sheriff’s Office needs the public’s help in locating Mrs. Lamb.

Carlita Sussane Lamb is 28 years old, 5’08” tall, weighs 150 lbs, has blond hair and hazel eyes. She is believed to be driving a white, Jeep ‘Grand Cherokee’ SUV. If anyone sees her or knows of her whereabouts, DO NOT approach her but call 911.
