PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT…

Thursday, August 1, 2019

From Sheriff Mitch Ralston:

“As our children return to school at the end of the summer holidays, I want to remind everyone in Calhoun and Gordon County to exercise caution on the roadways. This is particularly important in and about school zones. Please give extra care and attention in the mornings and afternoons, when the buses are entering, leaving the schools, and also picking up and dropping off students. I will have extra deputies deployed about the schools in the coming days, and our school resource officers are excited about the upcoming year. I ask all motorists to be mindful of increased traffic volumn during peak hours, and to plan and drive accordingly. I congratulate and encourage each and every returning student. I welcome the new superintendent of (county) schools, Dr. Kimberly Fraker, and look forward to continuing the relationship between the school system and the Sheriff’s Office which we have enjoyed for so many years.”
