Arrest of Parole Violators Leads to Meth Trafficking Charge

Sheriff Mitch Ralston Reports:

On Tuesday afternoon, September 15th, deputy sheriffs and parole officers visited a local motel off US Highway 41 in northern Calhoun for the purpose of apprehending parole violators. The officers had arrest warrants for a number of individuals. Two local parolees were arrested: Gabreal Shane Brock, age 32, of 209 Jeep Street, and Joseph Lee Holt, (also) age 32, of 256 Prater Lake Road. Upon being arrested, Brock was found to be in possession of a large amount of methamphetamine. Both defendants were jailed without incident for Violation of Parole, with Brock facing additional charges of Trafficking in Methamphetamine and Possession of Methamphetamine with Intent to Distribute. No bond has been set.
