Calhoun Man Arrest For Series of Entering-Automobile Incidents

At about 6:30 a.m. Monday morning (July 8), deputy sheriffs were dispatched to the vicinity of Deer Park Lane regarding several reports of automobiles having been entered and items taken from inside the vehicles. A victim had observed a suspicious man hiding beneath a boat nearby and chased the man for some distance on foot before losing sight of him. The deputies that responded to the area remembered an individual in the same neighborhood whom they had arrested for similar offenses in 2011. Deputies and sheriff’s detectives went to the man’s home on nearby Woodland Terrance. There, detectives and deputies followed footprints in the wet grass to a window of the man’s home. An incriminating piece of physical evidence was located underneath the window. Deputies subsequently arrested Timothy L. Boyd, age 19, of 405 Woodland Terrace, Calhoun, Georgia. detectives have charged Boyd with 10 counts of Entering Automobiles to Commit Theft. At the time of his arrest, Boyd was serving a probation sentence for a conviction for Entering Automobiles to Commit Theft. He is being held in the county jail.
