Commercial Burglary Interrupted, Officer Involved Shooting
Sheriff Mitch Ralston Reports:
At about 2 a.m. this morning (February 2), Calhoun Police interrupted a burglary-in-progress at a local business. Police officers and deputy sheriffs entered the building and were confronted by a heavily armed gunman. The gunman was shot by Calhoun police officers. No deputy sheriffs were involved in the shooting. No officers were injured. The commercial burglary is being investigated by the Sheriff’s Detective Division.
