Deputies Arrest 3 in Connection With Resaca Burglary

Sheriff Mitch Ralston Reports:

Wednesday night, April 16th, deputy sheriffs were dispatched to a Walker Street address in Resaca in response to the report of a burglary-in-progress. Deputies arrived and located the vehicle reported to have been involved in the burglary a short distance away near Interstate 75. Deputies and detectives subsequently arrested 3 local men, Britan Collins, age 17, of Resaca, Georgia, charged with Party-to-The-Crime-of-Burglary, Joshua Spires, age 21, of Calhoun, Georgia, charged with 2nd Degree Burglary, and James Brandon Averette, age 22, of Calhoun, Georgia, charged with 2nd Degree Burglary. The stolen property, lawn care equipment, was recovered and returned to the rightful owner.
