Deputies Arrest Calhoun Man For Drug Offenses
Sheriff Mitch Ralston Reports:
At about 8 p.m. Saturday night (Feb. 8), deputy sheriffs stopped a suspicious vehicle near the intersection of Hyde Road and Cline Road near the Resaca community. A search of the driver and of the interior of the automobile revealed marijuana, pills, drug paraphenalia, methamphetamine packaged for resale, and several thousands of dollars in cash. The driver, George G. Hall, age 47, of 102 North Dale Avenue, Calhoun, was arrested at the scene without incident and lodged in the county jail. The cash was seized for condemnation proceedings in Superior Court. Hall was charged with Possession of Methamphetamine With Intent to Distribute, Possession of Marijuana, and Possession of Schedule III Drugs. Hall remains in jail pending bond proceedings.
