Deputies Investigating Mail Thefts
Sheriff Mitch Ralston Reports:
Yesterday, December 6, the Sheriff’s Office received two reports of mail having been stolen from mailboxes on Rock Creek Road, and nearby Battle Road in the Curryville community. At about noon yesterday, a citizen who resides on Rock Creek Road reported a suspicious white automobile stopping at his mailbox and taking mail. The victim attempted to follow the car but lost sight of it. About an hour and fifteen minutes later, a second victim reported the theft of mail on Battle Road. Security camera footage captured the image of a white, late model Audi automobile at the scene. Detectives are asking the public for assistance in identifying this vehicle, which was seen in the area near the times of the thefts:
