Deputies Investigating Shooting Incident in Sonoraville Community
Sheriff Mitch Ralston Reports:
At about 8 p.m. yesterday evening (July 26), deputy sheriffs and other emergency personnel were dispatched to a private residence on Wesley Chapel Road in the Sonoraville community in response to a report of a man having suffered a gunshot wound. The shooting victim was removed from the area by air ambulance. Sheriff’s detectives stayed on scene for several hours, gathering physical evidence and taking statements from witnesses. The victim is hospitalized in Chattanooga, reported to be in very serious condition. There are no fugitives at large or being sought in connection to this case. The investigation is still active, and more details will be released later.
