On Wednesday, June 5, Richard Allen Moss was released from the county jail on a theft related offense. On Friday morning, June 7, Moss returned to the jail to retrieve personal items from his inmate account. After conducting his business in the front lobby, Moss went back to the jail parking lot where Sheriff’s staff observed him removing tools from a jail employee’s private vehicle. Deputy sheriffs from inside the building walked outside and rearrested Moss for theft. He offered no resistance, and told investigating detectives that he took the tools with the intent of selling them at this weekend’s “Dixie Highway Yard Sale” event.
