Plainville Man Arrested For Aggravated Assault

Sheriff Mitch Ralston Reports:

Shortly after midnight, Tuesday morning, July 2, deputy sheriffs were dispatched to a private residence on Moore’s Ferry Road in the Plainville community in response to a report of a man armed with a sword threatening and chasing another man in the roadway. Deputies arrived and spoke with a witness who alleged that he was in his own vehicle when he was rammed by another automobile. When the victim exited his car, he was confronted by the other driver, who brandished a sword and pursued him as he fled on foot. Deputies spoke with additional witness and shortly thereafter located and arrested Robert Glen Ribarin Jr, age 29, of 227 Plainville Road. He was taken into custody without incident and transported to the county jail. Detectives have charged Ribarin with Aggravated Assault, Reckless Conduct, Criminal Damage to Property, and Terroristic Threats. He is being held in jail pending bond and probation proceedings.

In 2010, Ribarin was arrested by Sheriff’s detectives for Terroristic Threats & Acts at a store in the Scottsville community. He was serving a probation sentence for that charge at the time of his arrest on Tuesday (July 2).
