Missing Man Found Safe

TIMOTHY CLYDE FLIPPEN has been located and is safe. Sheriff Ralston thanks the public, and all of the other law enforcement agencies who assisted in the search. Detectives are continuing their investigation of this matter, and more details will be released later.


The Gordon County Sheriff’s Office and the Georgia Bureau of Investigation are seeking the public’s help in locating TIMOTHY CLYDE FLIPPEN. Flippen, a resident of the Ranger community, was reported missing yesterday (Friday, October 12). Flippen was last seen at a convenience store in the Red Bud community on State Route 156 at approximately 5:38 a.m. (October 12). He is described as follows: White/Male, 63 years old 6’02” (height) approximately 200 lbs (weight), last seen wearing an orange coat, blue jeans, work boots, and a baseball cap. Flippen was last seen driving a 1996, champagne/silver-colored Honda ‘Accord‘ bearing Georgia license plate RCV 9822. Anyone who sees TIMOTHY CLYDE FLIPPEN or has knowledge of his whereabouts, is urged to call 911, the Gordon County Sheriff’s Office, or the Georgia Bureau of Investigation.
