Sheriff Hosts Crisis Intervention Training Class

From Monday,May 20th through Friday, May 24th, the Sheriff’s Office hosted a 40 hour Crisis Intervention Training course. The course is sponsored by the the Georgia Public Safety Training Center and is Georgia Peace officer Standards & Training (POST) Council approved. The course featured a diverse array of disciplines centering on conflict resolution, with an emphasis on issues involving emotionally disturbed persons. Class participants came from agencies throughout northwest Georgia.
