Sheriff Says Beware of Telemarket Scammers Posing as Sheriff’s Association
Sheriff Mitch Ralston Reports:
“We have received reports that some Gordon County citizens have received telephone calls from persons posing as representatives of the (Georgia) Sheriff’s Association soliciting funds. The Georgia Sheriff’s Association NEVER solicits donations by telephone. Everyone should be cautious of any person soliciting funds by telephone, and never give personal information such as bank account or credit card numbers to anyone unless you are positive of their identity.” Sheriff Mitch Ralston
