Troopers and Deputies Intercept Shipment of Marijuana on I-75

Sheriff Mitch Ralston Reports:

On Friday evening,  March 8th, 2013, state troopers and deputy sheriffs working in a joint investigation, stopped a suspicious 2011 Dodge Ram pick up truck on Interstate 75 near Resaca. A subsequent search of this vehicle revealed approximately 75 pounds of processed marijuana in a plastic box in the bed of the truck. The driver, identified as one Mary-Jane Christina Hemingway, age 26, of Atlanta, Georgia and the passenger, identified as one Charles Edward Lindsey, age 41, of Atlanta, Georgia were both arrested and charged with Trafficking in Marijuana. Lindsey was also charged with Crossing a Guard Line With Contraband (drugs). Both are being held in jail pending bond.
