Summerville Woman Arrested in Connection With Residential Burglary

Sheriff Mitch Ralston Reports:

On November 11, 2013, the Sheriff’s Office received a report of a residential burglary at a home on Highway 136 near Resaca. The victim reported the theft of over $23,000.00 in electronics, household goods, jewelry, and children’s toys. Along with detectives, the Sheriff’s Crime Scene Unit responded to the residence and collected latent fingerprints and other physical evidence. Detectives subsequently developed leads which led to the recovery of some of the stolen property at a nearby residence. In early January, Sheriff’s detectives obtained a warrant charging Peggy Renae Stinson, age 35, of 81 North Hill Street, Summerville, Georgia, with 1st Degree Burglary. Stinson subsequently turned herself in to deputy sheriffs on January 15th and was later released on $15,000 bond.
