Calhoun Man Arrested for Trafficking Meth, Firearms Offenses

Sheriff Mitch Ralston Reports:

Shortly after midnight, Tuesday, May 7th, deputy sheriffs stopped a suspicious  Dodge pickup truck on State Route 53 (Rome Road) near Scottsville. A search of this truck revealed a large amount of methamphetamine and other controlled substances, as well as two illegally held firearms. The driver, subsequently identified as one Darrell D. Cole, age 52, of 103 Squire Drive, Calhoun, was arrested without incident and lodged in the county jail. He was charged with Trafficking in Methamphetamine and other drug-related offenses, and firearms offenses.
