Car Collides With Building in Scottsville Community
Sheriff Mitch Ralston Reports:
At approximately 9:20 a.m. this morning (May 17) deputy sheriffs were dispatched to a beauty salon business on State Route 53 (Rome Road) in the Scottsville community in western Gordon County in response to a report of an automobile crashing into the building. Investigating deputies determined that a single automobile had in fact crashed into the building, causing substantial damage.
The cause of the accident is not known, but alcohol or drugs are not believed to have been a factor. One person from within the business was transported to Gordon Hospital by ambulance.
No charges have been filed in connection with this incident.
