Convicted Drug Offender Arrested Again on Methamphetamine, Firearms Charges
Sheriff Mitch Ralston Reports:
At about 11 p.m. Sunday night (June 9), deputy sheriffs stopped a suspicious vehicle on Roland Hayes Parkway ( State Route 156 West) near Sitton Road. A search of this automobile revealed methamphetamine, drug paraphernalia, and two (2) rifles. The driver, identified as one Phillip Manning Neal Jr, age 30, of 519 Roland Hayes Parkway, was arrested without incident and charged with Possession of Methamphetamine, Possession of Firearms During the Commission of a (drug related) Crime, and Felon in Possession of Firearms.
At the time of his arrest, Neal was serving a probation sentence from Gordon County Superior Court following a 2007 conviction for VGCSA (Methamphetamine).
He remains in the county jail.
