Resaca Man Arrested For Rape
Sheriff Mitch Ralston Reports:
On Thursday, June 6, Fairmount Police called upon the Sheriff’s Office regarding the report of a rape. Responding detectives and Fairmount Police officers initiated an investigation in which a 17 year old girl alleged she’d been raped by a man at a private residence in Fairmount within the preceding 48 hours. On Friday (June 7), Sheriff’s detectives subsequently arrested Danny Lamar Collis Sr., age 61, of 160 John White Road, Resaca, Georgia at his residence. He has been charged with Rape, Aggravated Sexual Battery; as well as a charge of Sexual Battery against a (second) female. He remains in jail pending bond proceedings.
