Deputies Arrest 2 Men For Drug Violations, Outstanding Warrants

On Wednesday afternoon, January 16th, deputy sheriffs from the Community Crimes Prevention Unit stopped a suspicious automobile on US Highway 41 in Resaca. The deputies questioned the driver and passenger, subsequently searched the car, and found a variety of illegal drugs, including marijuana, methamphetamine, and LSD. Both the driver, Billy Lee Talley, age 48, of Dalton, Georgia, and the passenger, Alexander Thompson Hill, age 20, of LaFayette, Georgia were arrested without incident. Hill already had outstanding warrants for his arrest from Whitfield County at the time. Both men were charged with Possession of Marijuana, Possession of Methamphetamine With Intent to Distribute, and Possession of LSD With Intent to Distribute. Both are lodged in the county jail pending bond proceedings.
